Elora Broyles has eight children, 20 grandchildren, and one great-grand baby. She was married to her husband for 13 years before becoming a single mother to her children.
Broyles put herself through college to give her kids a better life. On this dayone of them is trying to give something back to their dear mother. Broyles youngest daughter, Marlena Jasso discovered that Broyles was struggling to complete her big annual Christmas dinner.
The great-grandmother was expected 20 of her children over, and as you can see from her decorated home, she loves Christmas. Money was tight this year, so Jasso wrote into FOX5′s Surprise Squad to see if there was anything they could do.
When the reporter first arrived, Broyles wasn’t home. Then Marlena told her mother to get home quickly, but couldn’t give her a hint why. When she answered the door Broyles was stunned.
The reporter handed her a Christmas wreath but that wasn’t a real surprise. Broyles opened up a red box and in it was a $500 gift card.
Not too shabby for a grandma and her 20 kids.
This year it looks like it is going to be a feast at the Broyles’ home. How big do your holiday family dinners get? Let us know in the comments!
