My mom is like Dr. Doolittle in that she feeds and talks to anything that walks into her backyard, including squirrels that drive her little dog nuts.
I’m thinking she would get along well with Paul Chesnaye, show here with his daughter Lucy, who liveson the outskirts of London.
Theyve had some tough personal times and a family tragedy this past week, and Chesnaye said they found themselves in need of some laughter this Christmas.
He decided the best way to spread holiday cheer would be to make even the smallest creatures happy, namely the squirrels that frequent their backyard.
But he wasn’t content just throwing some feed out the door and calling it good, as where is the fun in that?
Instead he packaged up some nuts in wrapping paper so their furry friends would have something to open on Christmas morning.
We had some Brazil nuts, some peanuts, almonds, and cashews, he said. They got a real selection so it was a special Christmas present!
The squirrels were a little apprehensive at first, but eventually they got into the holiday spirit and tore into their gifts.
