Going to Disney is every child’s dream, but making the trip isn’t always in the cards for every family — hanging with Mickey doesn’t come cheap.
Such was the case for the family of Juniper, a 3-year-old girl who loves Mickey and Minnie and suffers from retinoblastoma, a rare form of cancer that develops in the eyes.
Though treatable, the disease usually leaves victims blind — a true tragedy, considering that most victims of this form of cancer are young children.
The Make-A-Wish Foundation heard about Juniper’s condition and decided to grant the little one her biggest wish: a visit to Disneyland.
The year prior, Juniper’s best friend, Violet — who suffers from the same cancer — was granted that very wish.
So the foundation thought it would be fitting to have Violet break the news to her best friend. Violet, thrilled for her pal, even gives “Juni” her very best Disney-related advice — like, “Give Mickey and Minnie nose kisses!” and, “Do your princess pose.”
Luckily, someone was around to capture the perfect, dream-come-true moment on camera — get ready to bust out the Kleenex because this is a real tear-jerker.
Have fun, Juni!
